Babayemi Debunks any Alliance With Adeleke

A frontline governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the fast approaching election in Osun State, Omooba Dotun Babayemi (ODB) has debunked the news of any alliance with another of the party's governorship aspirant, Senator Ademola Adeleke. This was part of reaction to a recent rumour making the rounds from some faceless individuals, by the media organ of Omooba Babayemi. According to the statement, at no time did their principal, Omooba Babayemi hold any meeting, either physically or by proxy with any of the party's aspirants or those from other parties. "Omooba Dotun Babayemi was never at any meeting with any of the governorship aspirants either from the PDP or other parties for any possible alliance aside of the party guidelines. "We were therefore taken aback by news by some faceless individuals on the social media claiming that our principal, Omooba Dotun Babayemi had agreed to work for the governorship ambition of Senator Adeleke or any other aspirant from the PDP or any other party. "The rumour must be from the wildest imagination of the initiators. "The initiators of the rumour have also gone ahead to include a video clip of an event held sometimes last year, months before the party threw its gate open for other aspirants to join the race. "Omooba Babayemi, a lawyer by profession, will never do anything outside what the party dictates. "No amount of campaign of calumny will deter us in our bid to see a new Osun where the best among the rest, as the party determines, from our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party will be at the helm of affairs. "We hereby call on all Omooba Babayemi's teeming supporters to disregard such rumour and go about their normal political business of mobilising support for our principal peacefully" the statement stressed.
