Oriki Yoruba Festival 2021 holds in Iba

The second in the series of Eburu Adekunle Yoruba Cultural Renaissance tagged Oriki Yoruba Festival 2021 will commence on Thursday in Iba.

The cultural events which will last for three days will feature chanting, dancing and other cultural exhibition by artists from both within and outside the state.

According to a statement released by the convener of the festival who is also the Eburu of Iba, Oba (Prof) Adekunle Adeogun Okunoye Oyedeji 11, the program will showcase Yoruba Cultural heritage.

The statement indicates that children dancing and chanting will hold on Thursday, while a tour will be made to some ancient hills located in Iba on Friday and the grand finale holds on Saturday.

Expected at the grand finale of the three days cultural event which holds at the playground field of Community High School, Iba by 10am are the Governor, State of Osun, Mr Gboyega Oyetola and members of the State Executive Council.

Also expected at the grand finale are members of the State House of Assembly, Local Government chairmen and traditional rulers from both within and outside the state.

Various artists and talented individuals are expected to showcase their talents at the events.

The release enjoins individuals blessed with cultural and artistic skills to attend the events as talents will be discovered at the events.
