OSUN 2022: Thunderous 2022 Governorship Declaration by a Fierce Political Gladiator at Ilobu Day's Anniversary Celebration.

 RT. Honourable Engr.  Lasun Yussuf,  the immediate former Deputy Speaker, House of representative, Nigeria has made a highly thunderous declaration to the chagrin of contenders to the exalted hot seat of the office of Governor, State of Osun at Abere  in the coming primary election that is slated for March 5, 2022, next year at Ilobu day function, Ilobu on the 13th of November, 2021. This declaration was also made with a stern warning that manipulations of any colouration will not be condoned.

Rt Hon. Lasun Yussuf might not be an adherent of The Osun progressive, "TOP" but surreptitiously as an accomplished leader of the APC, they share the common aspiration. This is about stemming the tide of "drifting into abyss" of Osun APC and the acrimony that has engulfed the party in recent time occasioned by sidelining and segregation of party stalwarts.  Barely three and a half months, to the direct primary election day, the vintage son of Ilobu, an astute and pragmatic politician had earlier made this declaration in a meeting with members of the top echelon of the party at Chief Akande's Ila - Orangun house where they all converged to redress the issue of a certain gray area which has permeated the party since the ascendancy to power of the incumbent governor, "Ileri - Oluwa". 

The agitation has resonated so powerfully after the administration of Governor Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola who freely passed the baton of power to Ileri - Oluwa which political followers of Osun believed  it was ostensibly the turn of the west federal constituency district to produce the Osun Governor. Since then, the agitation has reached a crescendo where all the west political aspirants are warming up to slug it out with the incumbent governor, who is also all bent to have the second term of governance with all means available. 

Baring all logistics, and the glaring retrogressive blight in the banner of APC in Osun politically; it is noted succinctly therefore, that without strategy, tragedy is inevitable. The die is however cast to watch the most strategic game which is coming to the front burner in the political calculations of numerous gladiators and aspirants who have gathered diverse followers over time that might put a strong spanner into the wheel of second term ambition of the embattled Ileri- Oluwa group. 

While rendering his much expected declaration speech he said " with love for our state and a fierce commitment to a vision of rapid progress for osun where the incumbent had been seen to pass the bulk instead of concentrating in further development of the infrastructure which foundation have been hugely laid by his predecessor, without the spirit of continuity, had prompted me to want to come and make great amendment" He said "government is not about wearing caps, it is about understanding of what is need to be done to banish  the scourge of poverty completely in the midst of our people". 

"It is with this conviction and some other rudiments of application of political knowledge that I offer myself to serve my dear state once again". There was so many revelations which he said will provide great infrastructure development to Osun that if he is given maximum support by the people of Osun, they will see wonders. "Osun will eventually become the haven of investors which are already in our door step".  Sighting the strategy he deployed to achieve most of his facilitated projects, he said, serving the people is the most important thing in leadership. He also made the highest donation as he used to do to his people at Ilobu day, which brought the activities to wild jubilation and celebrations which the huge illustrious sons and daughters of Osun appreciated with relish after his huge donation. Apart from  the people from all walks of life, with the Oba Ilobu in attendance, Senator Ajibola Basiru who made another huge donation, representative of the governor state of Osun, Galaxy Hotel CEO, Some Local Government caretaker officials,  Hon. Tajudeen Yusuf (Pablo), Hon. Femi Mode Siyanbola Comrade Femi Taiwo, all former SSA, to the Governor State of Osun was also at the occasion.
