Eburu hosts symposium on Rural Wealth Creation

The Eburu of Iba, Oba (Prof) Adekunle Adeogun Okunoye Oyedeji 11 will tomorrow host eminent personalities including government functionary and cademics at a symposium organized by the Centre for Rural Affairs and Community Development in Iba.

The symposium which is the second  in the series of Eburu Adekunle annual symposium on innovation in city governance and monarchy will hold at the secretariat of Ifelodun North Area office, Iba.

The symposium which will commence by 9am will have in attendance the Special Adviser to Osun State Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon Rasaq Adeosun who will be the Chairman of the occasion.

The guest speakers at the symposium include the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Prince Adebayo Adeleke and the Commissioner for Science, Technology and Innovation, Dr Tunde Olawale.

The moderators at the symposium which has "Rural Wealth Creation: A sustainable Economic development strategy" as its theme include Prof Mike Adeyeye of the Department of Local Government Studies, Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Ile-Ife and Mr Kola Adedokun who is the coordinating Director of the state Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.

A statement by the Eburu of Iba, Oba (Prof) Adekunle Adeogun Okunoye Oyedeji 11 indicates that academics from different institutions will also present papers at the symposium.

The statement enjoins well meaning individuals, students, academics and those who have interest in communiity development to grace the symposium.
