'Tunde Goes to Teach @ Origbo Community High School, Ipetumodu

It was a great moment for me and my students as I resumed teaching on the first day of the new academic session at Origbo Community High School, Ipetumodu, yesterday, 11th October, 2021.Interestingly, it was the International Day of the Girl.

I resumed at 7:15am and charged the students on the purpose of education and how to get their priorities right. My speech on the assembly ground was aimed at boosting their self-confidence and inspire them to perform better in school and excell in life.

More importantly, I celebrated our girls and charged them to be determined to break barriers and overcome the challenges confronting the girĺ child.

The first subject was civic education and my students were so engaging and willing to learn. They really made my day and I enjoyed every second spent with them.

Happy International Day of the Girl and Happy resumption to all students.
