Osun APC Chairman, Salinsile Calls For Unity -Charges Members On CVR

The newly elected Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State of Osun,  Alhaji Rasaq Salinsile, has called on all members of the party to work in unity for the success of the party in the coming election.

Salinsile who addressed members of the party at the weekly meeting of The Osun Progressives, yesterday, said the ongoing divisiveness being perpetrated by the Governor Adegboyega Oyetola led IleriOluwa faction, is an ill wind that won't bring any good.

 

He noted that it was the divisive tendency that almost cost the APC the 2018 governorship election,  submitting that no experienced politician will make his hatred for his or her party members so obvious like Governor Oyetola is doing. 

The Osun APC Chairman stated that politics, as a game of number, runs in the common sense of gaining many people to your side, wondering what manner of politician that will continuously play mutual exclusion game and expect success in election. 

He said it was a cantankerous step to arrest and arraign members of the party who you expect to vote for you in court and even sent thugs to maim them.

Salinsile said: "It remains a mystery how a party member you sent to jail or put a life long scar on his or her body or killed ultimately will want to be useful to you in times of need."

"Now that we have the party in our hands, we won't use it against members as it was common in the out-gone executives, but we will use it for the benefit of all."

 

He urged all members of the APC to wake up from the deep slumber the party had been relegated to and seize the new opportunity to rework and re-energised the party. 

Salinsile said his executives will begin to tour the federal constituencies with a view to rub minds with leaders and members and indeed familiarise them with the new APC agenda for greater growth and development. 

He informed that the new executives will take sure and steady steps in the matter of voters registration which has been handled with levity by the former party leadership, saying only a deliberate drive for the exercise will yield desired result.

The APC Chairman thanked the party leadership and members for their unalloyed support and cooperation so far and assured that he and his team will never take them for granted.
