Ilesa West and East Conditional Cash Transfer Beneficiaries appreciates governments for payments...GEEP 0.2 loan registration process follows due process - SSA Lukman...

Beneficiaries of Conditional Cash Transfer CCT programme in Ilesa West and East local governments area of Osun state, appreciated governments at the Federal and state level for approval and payment of monthly stipend support provision.


This is as the registration of the Federal Government Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Loan Scheme tagged GEEP 0.2 for Market, Traders and Farmers monies was described to be on due process as the registration commenced in the two local governments of the state.


The appreciation portrayed with joy was made to the representative of Osun Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, the Senior Special Assistant on Social Intervention Programmes Hon. Lukman Bello at the hall of the local councils today in the Ijesaland axis.


In his address, Hon Lukman commended the people for the patience and support of the government of Osun state, he pointed out the laudable programmes of the governments, he said N-Power beneficiaries have recently been selected and their activities commenced.


He mentioned that 6-months outstanding payments of the Conditional Cash Transfer released to the beneficiaries today, was delayed due to Coronavirus pandemic known as Covid-19, which affected the whole world, hence the process being stalled but recommenced for the benefit of the beneficiaries in states of the country.


He particularly acknowledged the efforts of President Mohammadu Buhari through the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development headed by Hajiya Faroq Shadiya for vulnerables in states across the country.

Similarly he applauded the Social Intervention programs by Governor Adegboyega Oyetola for vulnerables in the state also, he added that the patience and strategy of Governor  Oyetolas' development of the state is outstanding.


Hon Lukman Bello who is also the Osun State Focal Person for National Investment Programmes urged the people of the local governments to cooperate with the National Orientation Agency officials registering interested beneficiaries for the GEEP 0.2 loan.


He reiterated that the availability of loan is for everyone in Osun state irrespective of affiliation, said the Federal Government Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Loan Scheme cannot be accessed without registration, adding that the GEEP 0.2 loan comprising of Market monies, Farmers monies and Traders monies is interest free and that the loan can be approved with provision of National Identification, or Voters Card and Bank Verification Number BVN.


At the program which held amid Covid-19 safety guideline, SSA Lukman Bello urged the people to intensify on compliance of Covid-19 safety regulations as protection against contacting the virus, he sensitized on the need for nose covering, hand washing, maintaining social distancing and hygiene in entirety.


Speaking on security issue, he used the medium to congratulate Governor Adegboyega Oyetola for the recent launch of Amotekun Corps, urged citizens to utilize the security benefit and call toll free number 293 in case of any security emergency or related issues.


He also garnered for support of votes for the second term election bid of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, he urged all to shun vote buying and embrace visible achievements as seen in the government of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, as a tool for election.


Others at the Conditional Cash Transfer programme and the Federal Government Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Loan Scheme, GEEP 0.2 registration in Ilesa West and East local governments of Osun state include, Chairman of Ilesa East Hon Lanre Balogun, Ilesa East council manager Barrister Oginni, CCT State program Officer, Mrs Iyabo Ayanfe and the GEEP state program Officer among others.
