Osun Is Several Steps Ahead of Others, SRJ

Thirty years after its creation, Osun has justified its existence as it has developed its full potentials and leapt steps ahead of its peers.

Senator Ajibola Basiru representing Osun Central Senatorial District made the assertion in his congratulatory message to the people of Osun Central and the State in general as it marks its thirtieth anniversary. 

Taking a retrospective look at the State since its creation, Senator Basiru emphasized that the State has been blessed with administrators: civilians and military, whose aims were to develop the State and make it walk shoulder high among comity of States in the Federation. 

"I salute the good intentions of all past Governors and military administrators for putting the State on a sound footing of growth and development. I'm, however, more appreciative of the contributions of the Progressive Governors from Chief Bisi Akande, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola to the incumbent Mr Adegboyega Oyetola for turning around the fortunes of the State."

"Osun is no longer nascent, no longer a baby. Thanks to these visionary leaders for nurturing the State from infancy to not only adulthood but maturity."

Senator Basiru congratulated the good people of Osun Central which houses the Capital,Osogbo, the people of Osun in general and the Governor, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola who has not only fully sustained and built on the legacies of his predecessors but is pooling resources, however hard it is, to surpass their achievements. 

The lawmaker appreciated the people of the State for their support towards progressive administration, assuring that APC in the State will continue to serve them and develop the State further.
