Osun @30: Eburu hails founding fathers...calls for collaboration for maximum development

A prominent traditional ruler in Osun State, the Eburu of Iba, Oba (Prof) Adekunle Adeogun Okunoye Oyedeji 11 has lauded the initiative of the founding fathers of the state who fought for its creation 30 years ago.

The monarch who extolled the virtues of the founding fathers of the state, said the creation of the state has brought unprecedented development and progress to the state.

Oba Okunoye also felicitated with the state Governor, Mr Gboyega Oyetola and all indigenes of the state at home and in the diaspora on the occasion of the anniversary of the creation of the state.

He said the roles played by the founding fathers including those who have died and those alive are enormous, saying that the development enjoyed in the state today are rewards of their labour.

He also called on the traditional rulers, religious leaders and other stakeholders in the state to rally round the current administration in order to take the state to an enviable height.

The monarch who recalled the state of affairs in the state in the last 30 years appreciated all those who had served as helmsmen in the state in the last 30 years for their valuable contributions to the development of the state.

He said the enviable height attained by the state was made possible through the collective efforts of all and sundry and urged well meaning individuals not to relent at contributing their quota to the development of the state.

While felicitating with the people of the state, Oba Okunoye who is a renowned educationist of international repute urged the youths to also join hands in the task of making Osun State great.

He said the dreams of the founding fathers of the state can only be realized if everybody contribute to the development of the state.
