HFDI CELEBRATES WORLD YOUTH SKILLS DAY WITH CAPACITY BUILDING

Youths have been described to have ability and golden opportunity to learn and grasp new skills, which if used and developed, can help them conquer the world, it only needs that they focused their mindset and are determined about succeeding with it.

This assertion was made by the Executive Director, Hope for Family Development Initiative (HFDI), Mr. Aremu Stephen Akinyele during his address of welcome at a webinar organized by the organization to commemorate year 2021 World Youth Skills Day. 

Aremu who said the programme was planned in compliant with Covid 19 safety directives, said that the importance of equipping young people with skills for employment and entrepreneurship cannot be over-emphasized.

Talking on the theme “Re-imagining youth skills post pandemic”, the program took the participants through series of training sessions, where they were able to draw lots of knowledge from the wealth of experience of the resource persons.

Topics such as; Introduction to Freelancing and Affiliate Marketing was handled by Mr. Odeyemi Bolajoko Michael, a renowned Social media marketer, Freelancer, Crypto investor and network marketer.

Simultaneously, Introduction to Graphics Design and its Surviving Skills was handled by Mr. Kehinde Teniola, founder, Young Paths Int’l, a youth and entrepreneurship development organization established to help young people discover their innate potentials, develop requisite skills towards building sustainable enterprise and community.

The main theme Reimagining youth skills post pandemic had Dr. Ayo Olu Ayoola, who have over fourteen years of entrepreneurial experience covering fundraising, team building, business leadership, mentoring, creative business analysis, innovation and human capital development as its speaker.

Youths from various local government areas of the state were participants at the World Youth Skills Day 2021 organized and sponsored by Hope For Family Development Initiative.
