SoLife advocates Education for Children on Day of African Child

African governments have been urged to ensure that all children get education and are not abused by anyone.

The Chairman Board of Trustees, Society For Life Changers and Good Parental Care, SoLife Mr Aremu Stephen Akinyele stated this in an interview on the commemoration of 'Day of the African Child'. 

He stated that his findings reveals that uneducated children get abused and form large percentage of vulnerable children.

He frowned at some people's abuse of children, he charged that such act be shunned because, saying that it is part of the rights of children to be protected from child abuse.

Speaking further, Aremu said that the theme "30 years after the adoption charter: accelerate the implementation of Agenda 2040 for an Africa fit for children" is a call to stakeholders to ensure that the needful is done for African Children's existence in a good society and future.

He added that vulnerable children should be taken out of the streets, to be given education and that more awareness campaign and sensitization on the importance of educating the African Child should be intensified.

Mr Aremu Akinyele called on government at all levels to improve the education system and provide conducive environment for the African Child to get education.

Similarly, the Chairman SoLife charged parents and guardians to ensure the care for their children and wards, he as well advised the children to exhibit good conduct, shun crime and other vices and face their education squarely.

The Day of the African Child, an annual event initiated in year 1991, is an opportunity to focus on the challenges facing children in all continent, it is a chance to recognize how children and youth themselves face and overcome challenges as they contribute to peace, growth and development.
