Osun 2022: Two Possible PDP Leaders That Might Wrestle Power From Governor Oyetola

As Osun 2022 Governorship Poll is approaching, different Political Leaders have been showing interest in all the nooks and crannies of State. Though, Not all the Governorship candidates from various local governments area of Osun State has the nitty gritty to contest the 2022 Governorship Polls. Only the senatorial district that has not Produced Governors since 1999 is eligible to contest the Governorship Polls. And the senatorial district is Osun West senatorial district.

The last Governorship election that was conducted in Osun State, the All Progressive Congress APC picked her governorship candidate from Osun Central senatorial district while the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Picked her Presidential candidate from Osun west. Governor Gboyega Oyetola was Produced as Governorship candidate of the APC While Senator Ademola Adeleke was the candidate of the PDP.

The All Progressive Congress APC may likely zone the next Governorship ticket to Osun Central because of Governor Oyetola. The Party will allow Governor Oyetola to continue his second term and contest under the Platform of the APC. But the Peoples Democratic Party PDP will pick her Governorship candidate from Osun west senatorial district to contest against Governor Gboyega Oyetola in 2022 Governorship Polls.

The Peoples Democratic Party PDP is following the rule of zoning system in the State. The PDP Governorship candidate in 2018 is from ede, which is a known town, from Osun west senatorial district. The PDP may win the 2022 Governorship Polls, if the Party Leaders should pick the Governorship candidate from Osun west senatorial district. People will give sympathy votes to the Party in 2022, because, they believe that, it is the turn of Osun west to Produce the Governor of the State.

There are two PDP Leaders in the State that has the nitty gritty to wrestle Power from Governor Gboyega Oyetola and APC in the State. These leaders have done creditably well for the Party in the Past. They both deserve Governorship Ticket, if the Party Leaders can give the ticket to anyone of them to contest the 2022 Governorship election, then the Party will find it very easy to win the election.

Two Possible Leaders That May Take Over From Governor Oyetola.

The Peoples Democratic Party PDP Governorship candidate in 2018 Governorship Polls, Senator Ademola Adeleke can easily take the mantle of Leadership from Governor Gboyega Oyetola. Recalled that Ademola Adeleke almost won the 2018 Governorship Polls. It was the rerun election that helped Governor Oyetola to win the 2018 election. Ademola Adeleke is one of the PDP Governorship candidate in Osun State that can tackle Governor Gboyega Oyetola in 2023 Governorship Polls. 

Recalled that Ademola Adeleke just bagged another degree certificate in criminology at American University. This will boost his chance to get the Governorship ticket in the Party and to win the election. Ademola Adeleke will defeat the All Progressive Congress Governorship candidate in 2022, if given the opportunity to contest the Governorship Polls.

The second PDP Leader is the former chief of staff to the former Governor of the state. Peter Babalola. Elder Peter Babalola has once defected to the All Progressive Congress APC before he returned to the PDP in 2018 Governorship Polls. Peter Babalola also contested the 2018 Governorship Primary Polls but he couldn't win the Governorship. The return of Peter Babalola to PDP, will pave way for the Party to win the 2022 Governorship Polls. If Peter Babalola could be given the Governorship ticket in 2022, then PDP will find it easy to win APC in the next Governorship Polls. If the PDP could give the Governorship ticket to Adeleke or Babalola then APC should be ready to leave the government house.
