GBV: HFDI Spreads Campaign, holds dialogue sessions with Caregivers, Adolescents others

Hope for Family Development Initiative HFDI, have spread its campaign on Gender Based Violence to stakeholders in communities in Akwa Ibom state 

This is as it also held dialogue sessions with Caregivers, Adolescents and Community Council members on the causes of Gender Based Violence and its effect on victims. 
The HFDI Manager, Mr Kalu Awa said the impact of Gender Based Violence GBV, exposes and increases the victims as well as the perpetrators vulnerability to HIV, he advised that shunning GBV will go a long way to make the society a better place for all.

While talking with the adolescents on gender based violence, he stated that its perception affects the total wellbeing of the young persons in communities in Etinan, Nsit Atai local governments, others and the state in its entirety.

Kalu gave explicit insight into Teenagers roles and understanding of gender, he also asked for the collaboration of the community stakeholders and Child Protection Committee (CDC) to ensure that victims and Older Vulnerable Children OVC, are cared for and protected by the community.
