Osun Tescom Gives Update On Interview Schedule For Applicants

The Osun State Government through the Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has given further details about the ongoing recruitment exercise which all started last year.

The exercise is in several stages including the registration, a computer based test and interview before selection of successful candidates to teach in the state.

 The first two stages have been done and the third one will soon start.

Between February 9 and 10 the state government through the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board conducted a test for the selected candidates who met the criteria set by the ministry of education for the purpose of the appointment.

After the exam, there will be an oral interview or simply called Proficiency Interview for the applicants. Earlier, the state government has pegged the cutoff for 35% for the NCE holders and 40% for graduate applicants.

In a statement posted on its official website, the state government said that the interview will be conducted from Monday, 17 May, 2021 at some designated places across the state.

The statement further revealed that the NCE applicants will start their own interview on Thursday, 3 June, 2021. The statement revealed that the interviews for the two groups will be from 17 May to 24 June, 2021.

Part of the statement reads, "Kindlybe informed that Proficiency (Oral) Interview for Applicants, who scored 35% and above in the last Teachers' Recruitment Examination will commence on Monday, 17th, May, 2021 at designated centres."

The statement also included some materials that the applicants will have to bring including the degree certificate, the National Youth Service Corps certificate, Post Graduate Diploma In Education (PGDE) certificate, NCE, TRCN certificate, Basic Education Certificate (JSS 3), Local Government of Origin certificate, birth certificate or age declaration, one national identify card (driver's license, international passport, voter's card, NIN, etc).

The statement, which was signed by Mrs. C. K. Olaniyan, enjoined the applicants to check their portals for the allowed date, time and center.
