Adeboye Uses Simple Mathematics Theory To Explain The Need For Unity Among Churches In Nigerian

Pastor E. A. Adeboye, who is the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, while giving a contributory sermon, during a programme tagged Mighty Men Conference, has addressed salient points on the need for unity among the different denominations of churches in Nigeria and across the world. 

The programme with the theme Ministers Prayer Network International which Apostle Joshua Selman of Eternity Network International took charge of, has seen Pastor E. A. Adeboye, used a simple Mathematics principle called 'Set Theory' to disburse an important message needed by all and sundry. 

Speaking on the topic: How Unity Could Help The Church To Overcome All The Attacks Of Satan Upon The Church Of God In The World Today, the former lecturer of Mathematics said, "We have what we call 'Set of Numbers in Mathematics'. When we have certain numbers obeying the same given rules, we group them…. Spiritually, there's a set called the set of" Almighty'. In the Set, there are only three elements; that is, God Himself, Jesus Christ (Man of Faith) and the united people."

Emphasizing the importance of unity, the clergyman cited an example of the people at the Tower of Babel in the book of (Genesis 11:6), which talks about how God had rated them because of their unity. 

The man of God explained that even God as mighty as He decided to scatter the language of the people, because He realized that, as long as they keep getting united, they would never be stopped from whatever they had planned to achieve.

Explaining how that applies to the church, Adeboye said if all the denominations of churches in Nigeria can agree to unite together, nothing will stand in their way. 

However, realizing that the major problem in coming together or being united is leadership, the man of God asked, "Assuming all the churches decide to come together in unity, who will be the leader?" 

"The moment you realize all it takes to be a leader, no one will want to be a leader", Adeboye added.
