Retrace your steps, stop fighting your stepmother, Ogundokun advises Dumo Lulu-Briggs

An elder statesman who is a close ally of the late business mogul, Chief Olu Lulu- Briggs, High Chief Abiola Ogundokun has has warned Dumo Lulu-Briggs against fighting his stepmother over his father's business empire.

Dumo Lulu-Briggs had maked efforts to take over his father's vast business empire by instituting various suits in the United Kingdom, United States of America and Nigeria against his father when the father was still alive but failed in all those suits.

After Lulu-Briggs' death, Dumo has now channeled the fight for the property towards his stepmother.

Consequently, in a statement made available to newsmen, Chief Ogundokuna warned Dumo to stop his past "unholy criminal destruction agenda" and allow his father to rest peacefully

He advised Dumo to retrace his steps, stop fighting his stepmother and search his conscience and be contented with his own inheritance from his late father.

"Dumo, you tried the unholy criminal destruction agenda against your father with struggle to reap where you never sewn with actions to wrestle and illegally defraud and take possession of his hard earned treasure in life time which God and all the courts in UK, USA and Nigeria shamed you. Every ploy at destroying innocent Seinye has failed. There is God, remember.

He added that Dumo was given his own inheritance from his fathers business by Olu Lulu-Briggs while he was still alive to forestall the possibility of crisis which he has embarked on now. He added that the records are there to prove all these.

According to Ogundokun, "Dumo enlisted my support against his fathers wife even before his father died which I turned down as his father instructed me to stand by his wife then.

"When Chief Olu Lulu-Briggs died, Dumo was the first to call me that my friend who is his father died in Ghana and even sent me a text message to that effect.

"Dumo again enlisted my support against his father's widow which to me naturally amounts to betrayal of a late friend and confidant whom I owe total loyalty even in death as he has always instructed me to stand by his wife when he was alive."

Ogundokun asked rhetorically, " suppose Dr. Mrs Seinye Lulu-Briggs is Dumo's mother, would he (Dumo) treat her the way he is treating her stepmother now? Did Dumo realize that one day he would also die? Do Dumo have any feelings for the children of his father's widow who are his siblings? One with God is majority. Whoever is determined to unjustly tear Seinye's cloth of honour, God will surely cloth them with garments of shame and disgrace.

"Late Chief Olu Lulu-Briggs has tried his best in the sand of history of Kalabari land, Rivers State, Nigeria, West African sub region, Africa and the International World, what legacy would Dumo want to be remembered for? Truth is bitter but let Dumo search his conscience as nothing that has a beginning definitely have an end.

" As a close friend to late Chief Olu Lulu-Briggs which Dumo, Seinye as well as other family members know, I cannot at the twilight of my life refuse to say the truth. I am already an octogenarian and I know that one day, God the creator of heavens and earth shall call me as well as other mortals, what do I tell Him about the estate of my late friend and confidant, Lulu-Briggs left behind?

" I cannot conspire with any mortal on earth to twist and twat the will, wish and desire of a trusted friend and brother, Olu Lulu-Briggs.

"Dumo, please allow your father to be buried so that he can enjoy a peaceful rest. Remember that the whole world is watching you and your actions. Whatever a man does today becomes history tomorrow," he said.
