COMMUNITY SENSITIZED ON USAGE OF MALARIA KITS

Communities in Osun were recently paid Advocacy visits and sensitized on the usage of malaria kits such as Long Lasting Insecticides Nets, and others.

Hope For Family Development Initiative HFDI made the mark through Civil Society for Malaria Control, Immunization and Nutrition (ACOMIN), on the prevention, treatment and mitigation of the impact of malaria.

The health team also paid advocacy visit to Osun State Hospital Management Board, and State Specialist Hospital Asubiaro.

According to the program coordinator Mr Adeolu, Key Informant Interview (KII) assessment was carried out through the medical officers, and client Exit Interview (CEI) through patients on malaria, mosquito nets, treatment of patients among others.

Focus Group Discussion among the community members was carried as well as enlightenment of the community members on malaria, the causes of malaria, use of LLIN (long lasting Insecticides mosquito nets), Knowledge about ACTs, and how they can help in improving the facility.
