Alowa Clamours For Upgrade Of Dispensary To PHC

Oba Adebukola Ali, the Alowa Owarisa of Ilowa Ijesa, has asked Osun State government to upgrade the only dispensary available in the ancient town to a primary Health Centre (PHC).
The monarch, who made the request when the Special Adviser to the Governor on Public Health, Dr. Olasiji Olamiju, paid him a courtesy visit in his palace, said his subjects encounter lots of hardship trying to access health care services by traveling far to neighbouring towns such as Iregun to receive treatment.
He noted that this was due to limited facility at the dispensary, requiring that they seek better medical facility outside the community and asked for government’s intervention in the upgrade of the dispensary to meet the needs of his people.
Oba Adebukola, however, commended Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, for the laudable feat achieved in the health sector and overall development of the state in just one year of his administration.
He implored the government to accede to his request, offering to contribute his own quota if there is the need to build a new health centre, and expressed his full support to the administration of Governor Oyetola.
The governor’s aide advised the people of Ilowa to increase their patronage of the dispensary so as to bring into fruition the request of their Oba saying that it is the only way the government can grant their request as part of its primary responsibility to the citizens.
He commended the monarch for his readiness to partner with the government to upgrade the dispensary centre, noting that if all Obas in the state can take a cue from his passion for development, government’s development plans would be achieved.
