Osun Governor Seeks Partnership on Corporate Responsibility

State of Osun Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola has called on Osun indigenes to cultivate the gesture of corporate responsibility in support of government activities, towards massive development achievable in nooks and crannies of the state.
This is just as he commended the role of Engr Abel Olanrewaju Adeleke, MD/CEO Peculiar Group of Companies over the  construction and commissioning of the 3.8km Ileogbo Iwo road, describing it as a commendable community development which the government can not take for granted.
Governor  Oyetola stated this in his speech at the commissioning ceremony of the road,  held at Ileogbo township square, the event which formed part of  Ileogbo Day 2019 celebration.

The Governor who appreciated the philanthropic gesture, expressed his delight to have commissioned the road project, stating that the government alone cannot provide all the needs of the people, saying his Government is also collaborating with developmental partners and investors to harness the economic potentials of the State with a view to transforming the economy and create jobs for the teeming youths, provide business opportunities for the people as well as banish hunger.

The state helmsman maintained that massive construction, rehabilitation and upgrading of roads are critical to the development agenda of his government, adding that these are drivers to the economic transformation of the state.
The Governor  hinted that his administration has commenced rehabilitation of Osogbo-Iwo road while massive rehabilitation is also ongoing across the state.                      He stressed that part of the efforts of the government is to ensure that Osun people live healthy lives, hence Ileogbo Primary Health Care Centre will be commissioned while the gesture will be replicated across the state'.
He also stated that 'massive rehabilitation of schools across the state  are ongoing in order to facilitate the best education system in the state.  The governor explained further that his administration is laying a solid foundation for the economic emancipation of the state', calling on other towns to emulate the gesture of partnering the government to bring about the desired development of the state

In his address as the donor, Engr Abel Adeleke disclosed that his company came into existence in year 2004 and of recent engaged in Alternative Project Funding Approach as a contractor bundle approach whereby Government are partnered on projects and the payment is made based on agreement.
Engr Adeleke further stated that the approach is being adopted in four state of the country, adding that Osun tops as a model state because of positive approach by the government through the ministry of works headed by the Commissioner, Engr Remi Omowaiye who was the Supervisor of the ministry as at the time the approach started.
He described the approximated 4km road construction as a donation which forms his company's corporate responsibility to his society, adding that the road was constructed in good record with two layers of sub base laterites, one hundred mm thickness, fifty mm pavements, and seven hundred meters of drainage along the constructed roads of ten years lifespan.
The event which was graced by top Government functionaries of Governor Oyetola, also had in attendance sons and daughters of the town among whom are Senator Adelere Oriolowo of the Senate, Hon Yunisa Amobi of the House of Representatives, Hon Gbenga Ogunkan ami of Osun State House of Assembly and Justice Jide Falola of Osun High Court, among others.
