Government Re-Opens Baptist Govt. High School

The Honourable Commissioner for Education in the state of Osun, Hon. Folorunso Bamisayemi has ordered the reopening of Baptist Government
High School, Gbodofon, Osogbo with immediate effect.

Hon. Bamisayemi gave this order today during a meeting with parents and teachers of the school.

The Commissioner while appealing to the parents to warn their children to desist from all forms of bad habit, said the government is not happy with the way the students have co-ordinated themselves.

Honourable Bamisayemi said it is obvious that there are cultists amongst the students and a total of number of twenty two pupils have been arrested in connection with the riot and warned that if such incidence happens again the school will be completely closed down.

Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Mr. Festus Olajide urged parents to be well behaved as their children look up to them, adding that parents and teachers should work together for peace to reign in the school.
