Commissioner charges staff on improved service delivery

Parastatals structured under the office of the  Commissioner for the Office of the Governor have been urged to improve on their humanitarian services towards targeted cluster of school children, youths, aged, vulnerables and Persons with Disability.

Office of the Governor Commissioner, Alhaja Lateefat Giwa gave the charge during the familiarization tour of parastatals under the purview of her office.

She stated that her designation, which is Commmsioner for the Office of the Governor is a new agency of government, the first of its kind in the history of Nigeria which takes charge  of  the social intervention agencies as O'Meal, Special Needs in charge of Osun Rehabilitation center, Persons with Disabilities as well as Osun Youth Empowerment Scheme (OYES), and Youth Empowerment Social Safety Nets YESSO among others.

Alhaja Giwa reiterated the passion of Governor Oyetola in ensuring that the categories of people in the social intervention program are adequately treated and empowered.

She called on the staff to be alive to their responsibilities  in the discharge of their duties, adding that the government is set to deliver of good governance as benefit to Osun people.

Speaking on behalf of the social protection parastatal,  Osun Youth Empowerment Scheme Commandanté, Colonel EniIbukun Oyewole rtd, appreciated the Commissioner for her words of encouragement, saying the government has done wonderfully well in engaging as well as empowering youths, school children through school feeding program which had  increased enrollment, taking care of vulnerables and Persons with Disabilities and the aged.

He assured the  Commissioner of  maximum support for effective service delivery to manifest success story for the government.
