Campaign Against Open Defecation Osun First Lady Takes Campaign To Oriade Lg, Empowers Petty Traders In Osun.

Wife of Osun Governor and President IleriOluwa Development Initiative, Mrs Kafayat Oyetola has appeal to market men and women in the State of Osun to join hands together and preach against the act of open defecation in market places and other open spaces in the State.
     Mrs Oyetola made the appealed in Owena Ijesha, oriade local government area of the state, during another round of her advocacy campaign against female genital mutilation and practice of open defecation in Osun.
Wife of the Governor who appreciated all residents of Oriade local government for their unflinching support in the last  elections in Osun, especially the governorship election that produced Mr Adegboyega  Oyetola as the duly elected Governor of the state.
    Mrs Oyetola who was accompanied to the advocacy Programme by the wives of top government functionaries and female politicians in the State, also charged all nursing mothers in the area to ensure that they practise exclusive breastfeeding in the first six months of post delivery period  to make the new born baby more healthy.
     The president, IleriOluwa Development Initiative also charged all parents to desist from the barbaric act of female genital mutilation including open defecation which causes cholera, typhoid and other related water and air borne  diseases in the society .
            Mrs Oyetola Stressed that, female genital mutilation is an abuse against the girl child and women, hence the need for its eradication in the State, saying there is no advantage attached to the Practice than being harmful to the girl child but people should rise up to condemn the age long practice.
      
Mrs Oyetola who promised that the present administration in Osun will embark on massive empowerment Programme, in collaboration with her NGO; IleriOluwa
Development Initiative, commenced the progamme with empowerment of 100 petty traders in the local government area.
  In his response, the Olowena of Owena Ijesha ,Oba Oladonibo Gbedawolu, appreciated  wife of the Governor over her kind humanitarian gestures for all and sundry in the State of Osun
