Governor Oyetola Urge Stakeholders to Give Education to Children

Education Stakeholders in Osun have been urged to give adequate education to children, in fulfilment of quality, functional, affordable and equitable education for all as a way of achieving the goals of delivering better life for the people.

The State Governor of Osun, Governor Gboyega Oyetola made this known at the commissioning of Telemu Community Middle School Olaoluwa local government  and Community Elementary School Morinu Iwo, Osun state. The Governor affirmed that children are the hope and channel for achieving goals of a better future as well as positioning of the state and nation as fore burner, hence his administrations commitment to ensuring that children in the state get good education.

While informing all that Ilerioluwa Fulfilling Promises Educational Programme was established to transform the educational profile of the state, he also said Osun Edu Marshals was founded to ensure discipline and regular attendance by pupils.

Governor Gboyega Oyetola appealed to stakeholders, parents teachers and others to ensure that their children and wards are registered at school, attend school regularly and are well behaved, while urging the teachers to be role models to the children and ensure the children are well taught and disciplined.

At the commissioning of the renovated six blocks of three classrooms each, two blocks of six classrooms, the school hall and laboratories, and recreational materials, Governor Gboyega Oyetola relayed that its joyful to see pupils learning in a good and conducive environment, this will also make teachers to teach with ease.

He added that money was spent on the school project to make it conducive for everyday learning, adding that he implore the school children to face their studies squarely because education is important, and education determines their future.

The head of Osun government referred to his background as a child of a farmer whose parents believed in education and got him educated by investing their time and resources for him to become who he is today, adding further that parents should focus their investment in their children with their resources, discipline and attention.

The Osun Governor called out that there should be no unlearned child in Osun, and he also called on all stakeholders to make the future and well-being of the pupils a priority, adding that the government is committed to leading the stakeholders to achieve it's goal of using education as a tool for prosperity and development.

'These projects are a further fulfilment of our promise to provide quality, functional, affordable and equitable education for all as a way of achieving our goals of delivering a better life for the people and for driving development in the state'.

'Our Children are our hope and channel for achieving these goals and positioning our state and nation to compete with other nations of the world'.

'Our Administration is committed to ensuring that our children get good education. This is the reason we are striving to build schools, equip them, renovate dilapidated projects, provide well trained teachers to teach the pupils and ensure that pupils attend schools punctually and regularly'.

'For us to achieve our desired goals, we require the cooperation of parents and teachers. It is on this note that I would like to appeal to our parents to ensure that their children and wards are registered at school,  attend school regularly and are well behaved'.

'Our teachers must be role models to the children. They must ensure that the pupils are well taught. They must cooperate with the Edu-Marshal Corps to inject discipline in the children'.

It is our joy to see that the learning place for our children is good, and this will make the students and teachers happy. We spent money for this project, so I implore the students to face their studies. If I am not well read, I won't be where I am today as a Governor'.

'My Father was a farmer, but he believed in education, because Education is important and it's a determinant of the future, hence my parents investment in my life with their resources time and discipline, this I urge parents to emulate for a better future for their children and wards'.

'As we commission this projects today, let us resolve to make the future and well being of the pupils a priority. With that you have a good and secured future for your children and yourself as parents, because the government is committed to leading the stakeholders to achieve it's goal of using education as a tool for delivering prosperity and development to the people', Governor Oyetola stated. Earlier in his welcome address, the Osun Head of Service, Mr Festus Oyebade congratulated Osun people for being blessed with a Governor who believes in education for all, whole he urged the students to use the educational facility judiciously and should guard against vandalism.

He also urged parents to allow the children get education and that teachers should dedicate their time to teach the children effectively and successfully for a good future for all
