GOVERNOR OYETOLA HINGED ON INVESTMENT INTO ALMA MATER,

The Governor State of Osun, Mr Gboyega Oyetola have termed Re-investment as the price for payback into the alumni of one’s educational background, based on the impact and contribution of the institution into the lives of its students.

Osun Governor Gboyega Oyetola who stated that the input of the alma mater into its students’ lives, shape their future, made this known during the congratulatory visit of his Secondary School Alumni known as Ifeoluwa Grammar School Old Students Association, held at the Exco chamber of the Governor’s Office in Osogbo.
According to him, being part of those who give back to the alma mater is based on the experience encountered at the school, adding that he is proud to be an old student of the school, as he commended the teaching management of the school who took care of the academic aspect of the lives of students in their custody.
‘It is important for Alumni to always recognize the contribution of the school by supporting back, and remember efforts of all its educators, I am always proud to announce that I am an old student of the school, and I tell anyone that ask that I attended public primary and secondary school’.
‘I always remember the interesting experience gained at the school and in retrospect, this experience is interesting because it is part of what shaped each of our lives as its student to become what we are today’.
Governor Gboyega Oyetola further encouraged the alumni association to grow their membership drive from the first set of graduates of first school leaving certificate in 1968, adding that the school despite reclassification of schools during the tenure of former Governor Rauf Aregbesola, is still in existence, and he urged them to be good ambassadors adding that, he will give the needed support to his Alma Mater.
‘I urge you to grow the alumni membership drive which started from the first set of students who did their first school leaving certificate examination in 1968. Though there was reclassification of schools in the state, it remained and the school have archive with records, all thanks to the former governor for allowing the school to stay’.
‘I thank you all for your support of hardwork and availability individually and collectively during the election campaign, also I thank you for the prayers, and all Glory to Almighty God for my emergence which is not our making, but Gods destiny that it will come to pass’.

Whichever way of support I can give to the school, I will do so, and I urge you to be good ambassadors of our alma mater, let’s keep the standard very high’ the Governor stated.

Earlier in his opening address, the National President of Ifeoluwa Grammar School Old Students Association, Chief A.O Olodo congratulated the Osun Governor Gboyega Oyetola for becoming the substantive Governor State through the Supreme Court verdict as the Apex court of the federal republic of Nigeria.

Olodo further congratulated Osun citizens for voting in and supporting a good leader in the person of Governor Oyetola to handle the affairs of Osun, and he pledged their continuous support to the government of Governor Gboyega Oyetola.
