Famodun congratulates Nigerians for the choice of Aregbesola as Interior Minister

As all roads led to the Federal capital of Nigeria four days ago for the ministerial inauguration of former Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola as Minister of Interior, the state Chairman of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Prince Gboyega Famodun, who led the various teams of the party to the event has congratulated the entire nation for the choice of the former governor's portfolio.

Famodun who made this remark through Kunle Oyatomi and Kola Olabisi stated that he was convinced beyond reasonable doubt that "though, Aregbesola does not have neither a military nor paramilitary background, but he would certainly make a resounding success in the ministry for the overall benefit of all Nigerians".

Famodun who also hinted that it's only someone who is not saying the truth that would claim his witness to be in heaven, added that "Aregbesola's performance in the area of security as a governor in Osun where commission of crime was the lowest in the country was a pointer to his testimony about the competence of the new Interior Minister".

The party chairman disclosed that it was stated at various fora by those who are statutorily qualified to make the obervation that Osun State has been the most peaceful state since the enthronement of the APC-led administration in the state.

He said, with the appointment of the ex-Osun governor as the Interior Minister, he was sure that there would be a drastic reduction in the rate of crime commission across the country.

In his estimation, "there won't be any need for seeking for any rocket science to know that the security architecture of the nation would be enhanced with the appointment of Aregbesola as the Interior Minister as he handles any assignment entrusted to him as a perfectionist even both as a commissioner and governor".

Famodun explained that Aregbesola's experience in public offices have come of age which have sufficiently equipped him to tower wherever he may find himself.

Various groups under the APC both in Osun and Lagos states were all jostling for space and attention at the event as it became a rendezvous for political carnival of the APC extraction.

The Osun State Secretary of the party, Alhaji Abdulrazaq Salinshile and other executive members of the party in Osun were glaringly visible at the receptions that were held in commemoration of the ministerial inauguration.

Famodun disclosed further that there could not be any other barometer to measure the performance of Aregbesola as Osun governor judging with the sea of heads of his admirers and wellwishers that thronged the epoch-making occasion from both Osun and Lagos states.

In his words, the state party chairman enjoined all and sundry to learn a very good lesson from Aregbesola's approach to governance in Osun that "there is no deed that can go without an adequate reward.

"It is our duty as members of the APC in Osun and beyond to pray for the successful efforts of the new Interior Minister in his new assignment to serve the nation", Famodun counselled.
