Osun APC chairmanship: Best candidate ‘ll emerge, says party’s scribe

The Secretary of All Progressives Congress (APC), in Osun state, Hon Rasaq Salinsile, has assured that the best candidate will emerge in the chairmanship race of the party in the state.

Speaking with our correspondent in Osogbo, the state capital, Salinsile noted that the party has a method of ensuring that the best person emerged in any vacant position. He expressed optimism that leaders of the party will consider him for the position.

He debunked the rumour that he has shelved his plan to contest the chairmanship and succeed the current Chairman, Prince Gboyega Famoodun.

Reacting to the recent judgement of the supreme Court that upheld the election of Mr Gboyega Oyetola as Governor of the state, Salinsile commended the governorship candidate of the Peoples’Democratic Party (PDP) Senator Ademola Adeleke, for the early message he sent to congratulate Governor Gboyega Oyetola.

The APC scribe described the PDP candidate as a good politician who he said has demonstrated to be a good democrat.

He said, though, there is no other place to go, he noted that the statement of the opposition candidate has cautioned his supporters that might have intention to cause trouble.

“The statement issued by Senator Ademola Adeleke is good and timely. It shows he is a good politician. It shows that he meant well for the state. 

He called on the people of the state and other opposition parties to join hands and work with Oyetola “if they truly love Osun state.......
