I Don’t Have The Intention To Contest Against Governor Oyetola In 2022- Dr. Najeem Salaam

By Olutunmbi
Oluomo Rt. Hon. Najeem Folasayo Salaam PhD said on Thurday that he has no intention to contest against the present Governor of the State of Osun in 2022
in his words ”Let me say it time and time again to correct those who are looking for political appointment and mischief makers that i don’t have any intention whatsoever to contest against our governor in 2022.
If i supported him with everything i have in 2018 and delivered over 14,000 votes for him in Ejigbo Local Government which is the highest votes that the party and Governor Gboyega Oyetola got in Osun West senatorial district and the 3rd highest votes in the whole of the state of Osun and stood solidly behind him to defend the votes from the tribunal to the Supreme Court, there is no point for anybody to selfishly drop my name because of 2022.
Since the return of democracy in 1999, i have always allow God to direct my path and guide my way, so it will be like thinking for God or even playing him if we ordinary human being are thinking of 2022 when we don’t know the mind of God to predict those that will be alive till August this year not to talk of year 2020, 2021 and of course 2022.
What our party need right now is not to be thinking about 2022 in 2019 when the governor has not even spend a year in office or playing politics to destroy fellow party men at all, but how we will collectively assist our dear governor to deliver his campaign promises/manifesto to the good people of the state because it is his performance that will engraved the love of our great party the APC into the heart of the electorates in the state, hence, we must allow tomorrow to speak for itself.
If nobody in our party contested against immediate past governor, Ogbeni Aregbesola for the party ticket in 2014 because of his stellar accomplishments and performance from 2010- 2014, then tell me who is going to contest against the governor that has started well with prompt payment of full salary to the workers, revatilization of all the primary health centers in the state, rehabilitation of some selected roads. So, those who claims to love the governor than anybody should help him to work on his agenda and deliver to make his reelection easy for us rather than dropping the name of their fellow party men unneccesarily for pecuniary gain. I congratulate Governor Oyetola on his victory at Supreme Court again. Ileri Oluwa ti seeeeee.
