Famodun canvasses ceaseless prayers for Oyetola's govt

A call has gone to All Progressives Congress(APC) stakeholders in Osun State to continue to pray for God's guidance and sustainability of Governor Gboyega Oyetola's administration in the state.

The state Chairman of the party, Prince Gboyega Famodun, who gave this advice in a statement through his Media Consultant, Mr Kola Olabisi, in Osogbo on Saturday said, it wouldn't be proper for the stakeholders of the party to resort to prayers only when they were in a difficult situation like what was experienced shortly before the affirmation of Governor Oyetola by the Supreme Court.

Famodun hinted that it should be the collective efforts of all the APC members, chieftains and well-wishers to always pray for the Oyetola government in his genuine efforts for entrenchment of progressive continuity programmes in the state.

According to the state party chairman, the continuous prayers should not be for the administration of Oyetola alone but for the governor as a person who is the chief pilot of the administration of the state and those assisting him as well.

He said, it was important for the electorate to be mindful of what they say about their leaders and cultivate the habit of not cursing any leader whether in economic, political or religious clime in the interest of overall development of the state.

In his words: "I very much appreciate the quantum of interdenominational prayer sessions that heralded the affirmation of our governor, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, by the Supreme Court.

"The lesson we need to learn from this is that there is no problem that is insurmountable before God and that prayer without ceasing should be a continuous process to be embarked upon by all and sundry for the success of our government.

"I urge us all to be Oyetola's helpers through ceaseless prayers in his genuine efforts to continue and sustain his continuity programmes in the state."

Famodun stated that a housewife who desires absolute care from her husband won't do without praying for him on daily basis as prayer is the only potent key to prosperity.

He said: "Let's pray for continuous good health and God's guidance for the chief pilot of the state in order for him to successfully touch the nooks and crannies of the state in areas of provision of infrastructural facilities".
