OSUN GOVERNMENT COMMITTED TO IMPLEMENT POLICY FOR OSUN DEVELOPMENT

The present Administration in the State of Osun has restated its efforts to continue to introduce methodically implement policies and programs that would make the state achieve a number of milestone on the
Sustainable Development Goals that would be done in an inclusive manner irrespective of gender.
      Wife of the Governor State of Osun Mrs Kafayat Oyetola stated this at the Gender Conference Organised by the Centre for Gender and social policy studies held at Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife.
        Wife of the Governor Stated that, the conference reflects the enviable prime position of the Obafemi Awolowo University on thought Systems and human development. She reiterated further that the reality of government in Africa calls for through reassessment in order to determine how the Continent can Consistently and positive move in terms of human development and growth metric.
       Wife of the Governor who spoke through the former Commisioner for women Affairs Alhaja Latifat Giwa said all hands must be on deck to Continue the approach to human development in step-wise manner by focusing attention on the individual states and regions that  makeup the Nation of Africa.
        Mrs Oyetola reiterated that,the programme and project will improve the living standard of Nigeria women and the people. she however Charges all and Sundry that a lot of work still needs to be done in ensuring gender equality and women right  in Nigeria.
        Wife of the Governor emphasized that,since  the inauguration of Mr Governor have been working actively to mainstream gender and social protection system in all process and programs of government adding that, the State has been working in concert with a number of  development partner based on the Gender Equity and social inclusion policy put in place by the State government.
           Mrs Oyetola stressed  that, the present administration will be tackling poverty, boosting food production and access enthroning good health and wellbeing, providing quality education as well as promotion of industries through small and medium enterprises among others.
     Stressing  that, same will also applicable to farmers, industries, Villages, Schools and individual until everyone in the State feels the beneficial influence of progressive good governance in the most important aspect of their lives.
      Earlier in his address of welcome the Vice Chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University professor Eyitayo Ogunmodede who also double as the Chieg Host Commended the wife of the Governor for her humanitarian  supportive role for the development of the University during her few months in office.
