Redeemer’s University Refutes Alleged Discrimination against Muslim Admission Seekers

It has come
to our notice the alleged misinformation of the general public by some mischievous persons on the social media that Redeemer’s University intends and plans to bar Muslim admission seekers who don hijab from taking part in the forthcoming Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination beginning from Thursday, 11th April, 2019 on our Campus. The Management wants to categorically inform the general public that such allegation is unfounded, baseless and laced with falsehood. The University did not stop any Muslim candidate during the process of registration, why would they be barred from entering our Campus during the real examinations. Redeemer’s University has non-discriminatory policy towards any of its prospective candidates or persons who have lawful business engagement with her in respective of religion, gender and race. Over the years, we have continually offered scholarships and job opportunities to both Muslims and Christians who applied to the University. As a socially responsible corporate body, we are committed to religious tolerance and also at the forefront of advocacy for a better world through our non-discriminatory policy towards people within our work environment.
