APC, Dogara, Aregbesola, Fani-Kayode React To Death of Tinubu's Oldest Son

The APC has described the deceased as a cerebral and industrious young man who was full of life, saying it received the news of his death with great shock and grief.

In a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the party said it is always never easy  to lose a child or loved one, especially when they are taken rather too soon.

The statement reads: “The All Progressives Congress (APC) has received the sad news of the death of Jide Tinubu, the son of the former governor of Lagos State and the Party’s National Leader, H.E. Sen.. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, with great shock and grief.

“It is never easy losing a child or any loved one. Indeed, it is hardest when they are taken from us too soon. Many who met the late Jide Tinubu, who was a lawyer, fondly described him as cerebral, industrious and full of life.

“In this moment of grief, the Party offers its sincere condolence and deepest sympathy to His Excellency and other immediate family members over the painful loss. May the outpouring of sympathy and the comfort in knowing that the late Jide’s death is felt by many, help the family through this difficult time.

“We pray Almighty Allah (SWT) grant the late Jide eternal rest.”

Speaker of the House of Representatives Yakub Dogara also commiserated with Tinubu on the death of hia son. 

Dogara tweeted "I  commiserate with our national leader, Senator @AsiwajuTinubu over the demise of his son, Jide.

The late Jide Tinubu was a lawyer of high repute who cut his teeth in the maritime sector and was hardworking and enterprising.

It is saddening that a father buries his son. I can only imagine @AsiwajuTinubu's pain and grief at this time.

I pray that God almighty grants @AsiwajuTinubu and his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss."

Also, Rauf Aregbesola of Osun state wrote  "I am left shell shocked by the news of the demise of Jide Tinubu. My thoughts and prayers are with our National leader @AsiwajuTinubu
It is my prayer that Allah grant him and his family the fortitude to bear this grave loss.

A former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode also Condoles Tinubu, describing the loss of his soon as a great one "Deeply saddned to hear about the passing of Jide Tinubu, the son of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. May his soul rest in peace and may the Lord grant his family and friends the grace to bear this irreperable loss. It is a real tragedy.
